Training Philosophy

We believe that the martial arts can benefit everyone. We have students as young as three years old, and many in their 50's.

"My son started as a Little Ninja and now he has his black belt. His confidence and maturity are unbelievable!"

We individualize training based our students’ needs or restrictions.

"Many years ago, I had back surgery, and am somewhat limited in what I can do. My teachers have been able to work with me to achieve far more than I ever imagined!" (Sally Harding, first degree black belt)

Our goal is the personal growth of our students. At CTC, we teach a form of Taekwondo called MooGongRyu (Guardian of Peace). This system takes martial arts teachings that have been refined over the centuries and combines them with breathing and meditation techniques, healing energy work, stretching, and leadership training. Cincinnati Taekwondo addresses the entire person: mind, body and spirit!

"When I started, all I wanted to do was learn to defend myself. Now I find I enjoy learning the philosophy just as much.

The atmosphere at our school is friendly and welcoming. We have a lot of families involved at the Center, taking classes together, practicing together, and even teaching together!

Over a six-week cycle, we teach basic martial arts techniques, traditional forms (patterns), devastating self-defense (including weapons training), sparring, and breaking, ending with a week for review. We are the only school around with such a comprehensive training program.

"I never get bored at Cincinnati Taekwondo. There's always something new to learn." (Andy Kupferle, 13 year old green belt)
