Description
The Adult program at CTC goes beyond emphasis on the physical aspects of
Taekwondo. Our system is designed to build the entire individual. Classes
generally last an hour and fifteen minutes, and are open to anyone 12 or older.
The curriculum rotates through a six-week cycle. We cover basic techniques,
traditional forms (patterns), devastating self-defense (including weapons
training), sparring, and breaking, ending with a week for review. Each class
begins with warm-ups and stretching. The mental aspects of the martial arts are
built into our comprehensive training program as well. Students are taught deep
breathing and meditation techniques. We also teach proper etiquette, Korean
terminology, and guide students in the learning of the martial way.
Taekwondo can be an excellent stress-reliever for adults. The invigorating
physical training and effective mental techniques offered by our program are
often exactly what adults need to recharge from the stress of work and family
responsibilities. Our adult students also derive great benefit from the
stretching and flexibility training built into each class.
Many of the students at Cincinnati Taekwondo Center report finding an emotional
home. Surrounded by other students with positive energy and enthusiasm, adults
feel comfortable as they progress and learn. Our school is known for its warm
and welcoming atmosphere. Men and women feel equally at home, as the variety of
our curriculum offers something for everyone. We have many adult classes
throughout the day and into the evening to fit almost any schedule.

Note: First month includes a
uniform and belt, school patch, student handbook, and introductory private lesson.
